Oysterbox Hotel garden

Umhlanga Rocks, Durban

The iconic hotel needed a new garden after its massive facelift in 2008.  The garden features all the evocative tropical key plants such as bouganvillea and frangipani together with local subtropical coastal plants, giving the garden a romantic and relaxed colonial air.  Thickly planted areas are punctuated with functional clearings such as the wedding garden and the fountain court, allowing seclusion in a relatively small garden.  Splashes of bright colour balance the playful architecture.
